Summary
Eki XR doesn't automatically collect, sell, or share your personal data. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking. If you choose Send Feedback, Eki XR opens an email to ekixr@alornupia.com with the app version, iOS version, and hardware model identifier prefilled. You decide whether to send it and can edit or delete those details first.
Network Servers
Eki XR connects to SMB servers you add to browse and stream your videos. Server addresses and usernames are stored on this device. Passwords are stored in the iOS Keychain, limited to this device, and are never synced or transmitted anywhere except to the server you entered them for.
Direct Video Links
When you open an HTTPS video link, Eki XR requests media from that address and any hosts used by its redirects or streaming playlist. Those hosts receive your IP address and the requested URL, including any access token in the link, and handle requests under their own policies. Eki XR stores the link in your Library but does not permanently copy the original video into its own storage or persist a thumbnail. If the format needs conversion, Eki XR creates temporary converted playback files on this device. Eki XR does not send your videos or links to the developer.
External Displays
When an external display is connected, information shown in the app, including saved server hostnames and usernames, may appear on that display.
Your Videos
Eki XR does not permanently copy the original videos you add. Your Library stores a reference to each one (a Files bookmark, a link, or a server path) together with library details and playback settings, all only on this device. Videos that need conversion use temporary rolling playback files in the app's cache. Eki XR removes these files when you dismiss the player, retry or cancel preparation, or on the next app launch; they are not necessarily removed when playback reaches the end naturally. Eki XR processes video entirely on device.
Backups
Your library details and settings may be included in your device or iCloud backups, according to your iOS settings. Saved passwords and temporary playback files are not backed up. Apple handles those backups under its own privacy policy.
Deleting Your Data
You can remove servers and library items in the app, and clear cached files in Settings › Storage. App deletion removes its local files, but iOS may retain saved SMB passwords in the Keychain. Before deleting Eki XR, remove your servers in the app to delete their stored passwords.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear here with a new effective date.
