Eki XR

Support

Help with Eki XR for iPhone, requiring iOS 27 or later.

Contact support

Email ekixr@alornupia.com. Describe what happened and what you expected. If helpful, include your app version, iOS version, and iPhone model. Never send passwords, private video links, or access tokens.

Add an SMB server

  1. Connect your iPhone to a network that can reach your computer or NAS, and enable SMB file sharing on that server.
  2. In Eki XR, open Browse and choose Add Server. Enter the hostname or SMB address. The usual port is 445.
  3. Enter the server username and password, or leave the username blank if your server allows guest access. Use / as the Starting Folder to list shares, or /Share/Folder for a specific folder.
  4. Tap Connect and Save, then browse a share and select a video.

If connection fails, check the server address, sign-in details, shared-folder permissions, and whether the server is awake and reachable.

Allow Local Network access

In your iPhone’s Settings app, open Settings › Apps › Eki XR and enable Local Network. Return to Eki XR and retry the connection. If the permission has not appeared yet, try connecting to your server in Eki XR to request access.

Clear the playback cache

Dismiss the player first. In Eki XR, open Settings › Storage and choose Clear playback cache. This clears temporary playback files, not the original videos on your server or in Files.

Converted playback files are removed when you dismiss the player, retry or cancel preparation, or on the next app launch. They may remain when playback ends on its own. If your iPhone is low on storage, also free space in iPhone Settings.
